Time to sleep.
It’s one of those nights when I really do not want morning to come. I just want to sleep until I cannot sleep anymore. I am so blessed to have a job let alone three during this economy, and I know that I just got back from a short vacation in TX, but I am just so exhausted and want to sleep. Sleep until I can’t anymore.
I don’t want to be lazy, I’m just feeling worn down. I miss my friends, this weather sucks, I cannot have our foster child go out and play a lot because of the weather, and I’m just ready to be out of this limbo stage.
I guess this stage in life (choosing Africa over college, so I have to work full time) is much more exhausting than I thought. Emotionally and physically. I’m just ready to move on and out. Doing the same thing everyday is making me drag, and seems to be sucking life from me.
Malawi take me now.
This is me ranting. Goodnight internet. Make me smile in the morning:)

It was snowing all day today, and I just wanted to cry! Is it too much to ask for warm spring weather? I just want the sun and heat. I DO NOT CARE if I sweat every second. I JUST WANT SUN.

Apparently wearing pants in public is NOT a good thing in Malawi. I will be needing to make/buy lots of skirts before January!
Tonight I met the newest member or the Oren clan.
For those who aren’t up to to speed, they are the family I will hopefully be moving to Malawi with! I met sweet sweet Evangeline Rae Oren. Beautiful girl.
It’s hard to imagine that she and her big adopted Ethiopian bro Meko will be one of the biggest parts of my life while I’m there. I’ll be their Tia, and I cannot wait to wake up every morning and get to see their sweet faces.
What an adventure it will be, living on my own, In Africa, immersed in a culture so different than mine. I get butterflies just thinking about. If it will be ANYTHING like the work I did in Ecuador, then I know I will 100% happy.
I cannot wait to wear long skirts everyday, bake under the sun, and love on the people there. It will be such a beautiful life.
